In Dallas, fall extends deep into December and often it’s still 90 degrees in November.
A mild 80 degree day proved to be perfect for a family trip to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden where a fall theme was just wrapping up complete with pumpkins and hay bales.
There were great opportunities to test out a wireless speedlight controller. With one unit acting as a transmitter on the hot shoe of my camera and another serving the role of receiver attached to my flash, I was able to light up some of the dark shadows behind my subjects inside some cool vintage-looking wooden shacks.
